The Novice Nurse Training Program at Maxim Healthcare is designed to provide a year of hands-on learning and support to RNs, LPNs and LVNs with less than one year of experience. You'll partner with an experienced Maxim nurse who will provide real-time feedback, clinical development and mentorship.

    Inside a controlled environment and with the support of our trusted clinical leaders, you’ll gain the practical nursing experience you need to confidently provide patient care on your own.

  • Build your skills with hands-on training

    Through hands-on training in a clinical lab setting, our program guides you from entry-level to advanced nursing, with instruction in specialized pediatric care, tracheostomy and ventilator management.

  • Take your career to new heights

    After you’ve developed your nursing capabilities, you’ll work directly with patients. Interested in a leadership position? The program will help you open new doors within Maxim.

Transitioning from coursework to working with real patients can be a big step. This program gives you a year of paid learning in a home-health setting, pairing you with a skilled nurse who provides real-time feedback, training and mentorship so you can grow into a confident, capable nurse.

Get trained to give emergency care

One of the most unnerving parts of starting your first nursing job is knowing how to manage patient emergencies. Through a combination of on-the-job training and one-on-one mentorship with a veteran nurse, you’ll leave the program with the comprehensive nursing skills necessary for handling critical events.
